Hi Team, 

Evening. 

I have a customer who still has the legacy Clearpass HW with the 25 enterprise license + additional OG license. See attachment for the Bill of materials.  

Now, they want to have the similar Bill of materials. This is because they wanted to have clustering on another site.

My concern now, since these are legacy, equipment, can clustering still work if i proposed to them the new Aruba ClearPass C2000 DL20 Gen9 HW Appliance with separate AC and OG licenses?

Yes , the new CPPM appliances need to be running the same version as the existing CPPM cluster

Yes, you can upgrade your old cluster to match the version with the new one. This should work. However, i would also recommend to talk to your Aruba Sales/Accounts team. to see the option of upgrading your old servers or upgrading licenses etc. You might have to open a TAC case, to upgrade the licenses though for the old server's.

Have already contacted the local SE and basically, only way is to upgrade the old CPPM to the new version (to match the new hardware and version) for the clustering. 

In terms of the license upgrade, will need to open a ticket with tac or go to my aruba portal to migrate to the new license.
