Nobody on the forum can give you a roadmap date, so I'll skip that part and stick to what's mechanically true today.
The piece you're missing is that CNX has two layers for CX ports: the port profile (interface-profiles in the API, a bundle keyed by model and port range) and the per-device interface-ethernet object, which an HPE engineer pointed to in a spring thread about applying profiles to real switchports. Whether interface-ethernet exposes a ptp enable attribute is the thing I couldn't confirm from the published reference, and it's the discriminating question. If it's there, your dummy users get a one-call script per port. If it isn't, there's no supported place to put it, and the config refresh wiping your support mode edits is by design, not a bug: CNX owns the running config.
Worth asking your SE for the interface-ethernet schema specifically, and filing the PTP-on-port-profile gap through the ideas portal so it has a ticket number rather than a forum post.
