Wireless Access

hi,
I have a Compaq Presario c700 laptop - model C771TU - operating system Windows Xp Professional. Everything works great...the only 'problem' is that the color of the wlan buton remains amber even when conected to internet using wlan. As far as I know it should change his color - blue when conected.
Can anyone help me? Thanks.

The light should turn blue.

The switch should be set towards the center of the computer.

Does it connect wirelessly? If it connects and all works fine I wouldn't get to worried about it.

Yes, the wireless works fine, only that I was wondering if I have a 'soft' problem (not using the proper drive) or a 'hard' problem (the led can't show the blue color). I know that it's supposed to turn blue, but it doesn't. Could it be the operating system? (I use windows XP professional - service pack 2).

Anyway, what is 100% sure is that no one could give me a clear response to this matter. I searched and searched the Internet and I saw that I'm not the only one with this problem. I tried also to get a clear response from Hp International and Hp Romania but ... nothing. They are saying that I should go to a service, but I don't think that I'll do that.
